A Program to Foster Entrepreneurship Mindset and Encourage Diversity in Innovation Ecosystem for Young Women+ (Age 14 to 18)

The CDL Apprentice Program, in partnership with Scotiabank, supports young women+ interested in STEM and entrepreneurship. Despite representing 50% of the population, women remain underrepresented in technical studies and careers, and less than 3% of venture capital is invested in women-led startups. The program aims to ignite greater gender diversity in these fields and foster an entrepreneurship mindset. Scotiabank’s partnership will support programming for young women+ aged 14-18 from diverse backgrounds, starting in 2022/23.
